China Wok in Vernon

Best takeout in town. I have tried everywhere else several times and China wok is the best and most consistent. It's a nice little hidden gem!

The reviewer that says the food here is better than Vancouver obviously hasn't had much Chinese food and dim sum in Vancouver. Service was terrible.

Every time I'm here I enjoy the food and the friendly staff and owners. It's my go to spot for great food!

The experience i had was pretty good. The owner and the staff was friendly. The restaurant was clean in the eating area. I had order the beef fried rice, ginger chicken, Shanghai noodles which had all good flavor. The kitchen also looked very clean

Absolutely Fantastic food!!! Their Lunch and Dinner specials are affordable and taste Amazing!!! Carmen is the owner and she is always happy go lucky and pleasant to deal with. I have tasted my share of Wonton Soup over the past 40 yrs and I have to say, China Wok in downtown Vernon, has the best Wonton Soup out there!!!The only day they have a Smorg is on a Sunday but with the large portions on their lunch(11.95) and dinner(14.95) specials, I get to take home leftovers. Besides, if you want a Smorg, there are plenty of other restaurants in town but I honestly don't eat enough for a 20$ smorg somewhere else.Give China Wok a go...right across the street from Nolans Pharmasave!!!You won't regret it.🙃🙃🙃

This was a great place we have a family of 8 we all eat and still have leftovers. Yummy

China Wok makes better won ton soup than my dad can!

Good service, food is tasty and the portion is super large. Sometimes the owner will give free soup or desserts, nice. Just a bit far to drive all the way from kelowna to here

A Re-al Chinese Food Restaurant! Such delicious foods! A "never before" home made Won Ton soup, excellent regular meal dishes, and you'll have a hard time battling with yourself to keep from eating more at the Sunday Buffet. Then the friendly cook will come around and ask you how you enjoyed your meal. Now that's confidence!

Their food is great but their dim sum Sunday morning buffet (I don’t know if currently on due to Covid-19) outstanding - best dim sum in interior of BC - and very friendly service - reasonably priced - a must go! Linda

Probably some of the best Chinese food in Vernon with consideration for Price/Portion size, etc. Was very fresh, tasted great and had lots to bring home for a reasonable price.

Food was barely OK, most of my party got sick from it, sloppy service. I wouldn't recommend this place based on my one time experience.

The best Chinese food I have found In Vernon so far. Large portions, fresh, flavorful sauces. I enjoy the almond chicken, ginger beef, and chicken fried rice.

We ordered from china wok last night, and I have debated about writing a review but I think there should be some truthful stuff written instead of what is written. We ordered a few things their special fried rice, this was a nice rice with good flavor, but it really ended here for us. The war won ton soup was beyond tasteless and I mean no flavor at all. The ginger chicken was a sweet and sour sauce mixed with something that bit your tongue with the acidity of it. The egg foo young was under-cooked.The kung pao chicken had no flavor. The chow mien noodles were ok. The spring rolls were ok. The deep fried won tons again just ok. I would not recommend spending another 100 here, as it was not worth the money spent. As we don't get into town often for supper this just made it more disappointing to me.

Came in for Dim Sum. Very delicious and very authentic. Loved it.

China Wok is amazing and has a great variation of food. They have a separate chinese menu that has foods that cater to my taste buds. The chinese menu is in English as well and the head chef must be red seal. The buffet has things from the chinese menu and the canadianized chinese menu so it a treat for everyone. I'll be sticking with the chinese menu though or the buffet I have not tried the canadianized Chinese food here but it sure looks good.

Great dimsum buffet but the service staff is a fake. Is nice to everyone except visible indigenous.

the only word I can use to describe my experiences here is "mediocre". we had to request beverages at least twice (water was never offered, and we requested it twice as well, before it was eventually brought out). our three-piece meal was delivered in three different trips (weird) yet the fried rice (first) was still not very hot. the vegetable chop suey was okay, but pretty low in carrots, mushrooms, and corn. the sweet and sour pork was delicious though. after one of the servers just dropped a stack of plates at the end of our table and walked away, I distributed them and my companion commented, "have they never had customers before?" I was here a couple months ago for the dim sum, and found it very underwhelming as well (service and food), but wanted to give it another chance. I don't think I will ever return.

I can only speak for the veg combo (takeout). I've had it many times and it's consistently awesome! Get a ton of food for the price (makes at least 2 meals for me), features a wide variety of veggies, and it's really fresh tasting and not greasy or salty... rare around here!

This place is the best place in Vernon for western or traditional chinese food if you want to try some traditional stuf just ask the waiter with short​ hair she can recommend some really good stuff abd the chef is a famous chinese chef in vancouver and he has worked in many resturants so you know the stuff will be good

Seriously enjoyable. Great food huge portions and a very friendly atmosphere. If you have a chance drop in here and have some dinner you won't be disappointed

A couple weeks ago when I ordered from ChinaWOK the food was decent as always. But the real kicker was the 2L Coca Cola I ordered wasn't an un-opened full 2L Coca Cola. It was an already opened 2L Coke. I called the restaurant an hour later and they said they would "investigate" into who did it and call me the next day. Next day comes, and no manager or anyone has called us so we returned the call and they simply offered us a new 2L Coke. I decided to take the offer, but when the new 2L Coke got here it was expired and was flat. Never ordering from here again :/

Was hard to find, next to no parking, only pay parking on street. Good food. Small portions, but tasty. Next time we will get it delivered or take a cab to dine in.

We enjoyed a wonderful Sunday buffet that included dim sum. It's a place that the locals seemed your frequent quite often as staff knew their names and everyone was very happy to be there for brunch. The food was very fresh oh, the place is very clean and tidy and the tastes were awesome. I will be going back again
